Founded in 1956 in Florida, Watsco, Inc., together with its subsidiaries, is the largest distributor of air conditioning, heating and cooling equipment and related accessories and consumables (" HVAC/R ") in the HVAC/R industry in North America. On December 31, 2015, the company operated its export base in Latin America and the Caribbean from 37 US states, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico with more market coverage of 566, through which it served more than 88,000 contractors and dealers in the maintenance and replacement of new construction markets. The company also sells products to the refrigeration market. These products include industrial and commercial applications of condensing units, compressors, evaporators, valves, refrigerants, walk-in refrigerators and ice machines.
