Valmont Industries, Inc., is a diversified global producer of metal products. It is a leading producer of steel and aluminum pipes, towers and other structures in its Infrastructure Products (EIP) business, a producer of steel and concrete pole structures in its Utility business, and a global producer of mechanized irrigation systems in its irrigation business. The company also provides metal surface treatment services, including galvanizing, painting and anodizing in its coatings market. Through the EIP division, the company's products are sold, including outdoor lighting and traffic control structures, wireless communication structures and components, and road safety and industry access systems. Its tube structure is sold through its utility sector to support power transmission and distribution lines and related distribution equipment. Its irrigation division produces mechanized irrigation equipment that provides water, fertilizers and pesticides to crops. Customers and end users of its products include state and federal governments, contractors, utility and telecommunications companies, manufacturers of commercial lighting fixtures and large-scale farms, and manufacturers of general manufacturing. In 2015, about 37% of the company's total sales were sold in the market or manufactured in factories outside North America. The company was established in 1946 and went public in 1968.
