The Company operates through wholly-owned and majority-owned subsidiaries including NL Industries, Inc., Kronos Worldwide, Inc., CompX International, Inc., Tremont LLC, Basic Management, Inc., and LandWell Company. Kronos, the company's holding subsidiary, is the world's leading manufacturer and marketer of high value-added titanium dioxide pigments, a basic industrial product widely used. Kronos and its distributors and agents sell and provide product technical services to approximately 4,000 customers in 100 countries, the majority of which are sold in Europe, North America and Asia Pacific.
