Universal Corporation is a leading tobacco leaf supplier. It has operations in more than 30 countries on 5 continents. Since its establishment in 1918, the tobacco industry has become its main business. The largest part of its business is the collection and processing of flue-cured tobacco and Burley leaves for manufacturers of consumer tobacco products, whose business units are mainly in North America and other regions. It also has a third business unit, its Oriental Tobacco joint venture, and some tobacco-related services.
