Telecom Argentina S.A. was established on January 5, 1990. The company is one of the largest private companies in Argentina in terms of tax, net income and number of employees. Telecom Argentina has a certificate that never expires and provides fixed-line telecommunications services and other telephone-related services in Argentina, such as international long-distance services, data transmission, outsourced IT solutions and Internet services. Through its subsidiaries, the company also provides mobile telecommunications services and international wholesale services. The company was founded by decree of the Argentine government on January 5, 1990 and established as a joint stock limited company in April 1990 under the name "Sociedad Licenciataria Norte S.A.".
