Teck Resources Limited, established in 1978 under the Canadian Business Enterprise Act. In 1963, the interests of Teck-Hughes Gold Mines LLC, Lamaque Gold Mines LLC and Canadian Devonian Petrochemical LLC were merged to form Teck Resources LLC. Teck-Hughes Gold Mines LLC, Lamaque Gold Mines LLC and Canadian Devonian Petrochemical LLC were incorporated in 1913, 1937 and 1951, respectively. Teck is Canada's largest diversified mining, mineral processing and metallurgical company. Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, the company is a world leader in the production of copper, steel-making coal, zinc, molybdenum and specialty metals, and has interests in several oil sands development assets. The Company has an ownership or interest in 13 mines in Canada, the United States, Chile and Peru, and a molybdenum mine in Canada. The company has an understanding of all aspects related to mining, including mining, development, smelting, refining, safety, environmental protection, product regulation, recycling and research. The company is actively engaged in mining activities in the United States, Asia Pacific, Europe and Africa.
