Transcontinental Realty Investors, Inc., is a Nevada corporation. Formerly a California business trust, the company was established on September 6, 1983 and began operations on January 31, 1984. On November 30, 1999, the Company acquired all beneficial outstanding shares of Continental Mortgage and Equity Custody. The company's main business is the acquisition, development and ownership of profitable residential real estate and commercial real estate. In addition, the company speculatively acquires land to develop the infill market or the fast-growing suburban market in the future. When the company feels that it is actually mature, it will also sell land property and income property. The company's revenue sources come from the rental of residential apartments, as well as the rental of offices, industrial space and retail space for commercial and some local, state and federal agencies. A portion of the company's revenue also comes from profitable property and land sales.
