Scorpio Tankers Inc., incorporated in the Republic of the Marshall Islands on July 1, 2009, is engaged in the seaborne transportation of refined oil and crude oil in the international shipping market. Scorpio Tanker Company provides global seaborne transportation of refined oil and crude oil. The company began operations in October 2009 and has three ship carrier and operating subsidiaries. The Company's fleet consists of 14 wholly-owned tankers (one LR2 tanker, four LR1 tankers, one Handysize tanker, seven MR tankers, and one Super Panamax tanker) with a weighted average age of about 4.4 years, and 21 temporary chartered tankers (five LR2 tankers, three LR1 tankers, seven MR tankers and seven Handysize tankers), belonging to the collective operating fleet.
