Seabridge Gold Inc., was founded in British Columbia on September 14, 1979 as Chopper Mines Ltd. It was then renamed Dragoon Resources Ltd on November 9, 1984, and again as Seabridge Resources Ltd on May 20, 1998. On June 20, 2002, the issuer changed the company's name to Seabridge Gold Ltd., and on October 31, 2002, the issuer registered the company under the Canadian Business Companies Act. Since 1999, the company has taken steps to achieve its goal of greatly improving shareholder returns by exploiting the price of gold. To achieve this, its issuer's strategy is to optimize gold ownership per common share by increasing gold resources more rapidly than outstanding shares. Gold ownership per common share at this ratio provides a simple but effective method for dollar valuation.
