Rayonier Advanced Materials Inc., was founded on January 16, 2014. The Company is a leading global producer of cellulose specialty products, which are natural polymers used as raw materials to manufacture a wide range of consumer-oriented products such as cigarette filters, liquid crystal displays, impact-resistant plastics, food thickeners, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, tires and industrial hoses with high toughness, food casings, paints and lacquer cotton yarns. In addition, the company produces commodity products, mainly commodity viscose and absorbent materials. Commodity viscose is the raw material for the manufacture of viscose staple fibers for textile applications such as clothing and fabrics, as well as non-woven applications such as baby wipes, cosmetic and personal wipes, industrial wipes and mattress ticks. Absorbent materials, often referred to as fluff fibers, are used as absorbent media in products such as disposable baby diapers, feminine hygiene products, incontinence pads, recovery mattresses, industrial towels and wet wipes, and non-woven fabrics. The Company's production facilities in Jessup, Georgia and Fernandina Beach, Florida have a combined annual production capacity of approximately 675,000 metric tons of cellulose specialty products. The company's products are sold to companies around the world for a variety of industrial applications and produce a wide variety of products.
