RLI Corp., an Illinois corporation, was founded in 1965 and changed its registered address from Illinois to Delaware in May 2018. RLI Insurance underwrites specified property, accident and guarantee products through the main subsidiaries of the RLI Insurance Group, collectively referred to as the RLI Insurance Group. RLI mainly conducts business through three insurance companies. (RLI Ins.) is a subsidiary and principal insurance subsidiary of RLI Insurance, which underwrites a wide range of insurance coverage in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam. Mt. Hawley Insurance Company (Mt. Hawley), a subsidiary of RLI Insurance, underwrites excess and surplus coverage in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam. Contractors Bonding and Insurance Company (CBIC), a subsidiary of RLI Insurance, underwrites multiple lines of coverage in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
