Ready Capital Corporation was incorporated in Maryland on May 24, 2011 and has elected to be taxed and qualify as a Caretrust Reit for the tax year ending December 31, 2011. Ready Capital Corporation primarily invests, finances and manages executed and re-executed residential mortgage loans that may be experienced or recently originated. The Company also invests in, finances and manages non-institutional RMBS, focusing on securities rated in the highest rating category by one or more nationally recognized statistical rating agencies at the time of initial issuance. The Company also has discretion to invest in MSRs, agency RMBS, including through TBA contracts, and other real estate-related assets and financial assets such as IO, CMBS and ABS.
