Pinnacle West Capital Corporation is incorporated in Arizona. The company is a holding company and conducts business through its subsidiaries. Substantially all of the company's revenue and earnings come from its wholly-owned subsidiary APS. APS is a vertically integrated power company that provides retail or wholesale power service to most of Arizona, with the exception of about half of the Phoenix metropolitan area, the Tucson metropolitan area and Mohave County in northwestern Arizona. The Company's reportable business segment is the regulated electricity segment, which consists of the traditional regulated retail and wholesale electricity business (mainly providing electricity services to local load customers) and related activities, and includes power generation, transmission and distribution.
