Pioneer Floating Rate Fund, Inc., was founded in Maryland. Until April 21, 2021, the Fund is organized as a Delaware statutory trust. On April 21, 2021, the Fund was reorganized into a Maryland corporation through a statutory merger of its predecessor, the Delaware Statutory Trust, with a newly formed Maryland corporation. The fund was originally established on October 6, 2004. Prior to commencing operations on December 28, 2004, the Fund had no business other than matters related to its organization and registration as a diversified, closed-end management investment company under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended (the "1940 Act "). The fund's investment objective is to seek a high level of current income, as a secondary objective, the fund can also seek capital appreciation, as long as this is in line with its investment objectives.
