Occidental Petroleum Corp. is a Delaware corporation. The company's main business consists of three parts: oil and gas, chemicals, and marketing. The oil and gas sector explores, develops and produces oil and condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs) and natural gas. The chemical division (OxyChem) mainly produces and sells basic chemicals and vinyl. The marketing department purchases, markets, collects, processes, transports and stores oil, condensate, natural gas, carbon dioxide (CO 2) and electricity. The Company also trades around its assets, including transportation and storage capabilities, and invests in entities engaged in similar activities, such as Western Midstream Partners, L.P. (WEST).
