Ormat Technologies, Inc., was founded in Delaware in 1994. They are a leading vertically integrated company primarily engaged in geothermal and recycled energy power generation. The company designs, develops, builds, owns and operates clean, environmentally friendly geothermal and energy recovery power plants, often using equipment designed and manufactured by the company. The company's geothermal power plants include power plants built by the company and power plants acquired by the company, and all of its energy recovery power plants are built by them. The company conducts business activities in two business segments, which the company refers to as the company's power segment and product segment. In the company's power division, the company develops, builds, owns and operates geothermal and energy recovery power plants in the United States, as well as geothermal power plants in other countries around the world, and sells the electricity they generate.
