Morgan Stanley Emerging Markets Debt Fund Inc was incorporated in Maryland on May 6, 1993 and is a non-diversified closed-end management investment company under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended (the "Act "). The Fund's primary investment objective is to generate high liquid income by investing primarily in debt securities of emerging country governments and government-related issuers, debt securities of entities organized to restructure the outstanding debt of these issuers, and debt securities of corporate issuers organized under the laws of emerging countries, and to seek capital appreciation as a secondary objective.
