Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc., is a Hawaiian corporation whose predecessor organization was founded in 1909. The Company owns approximately 22,300 acres of land in Maui and develops, sells and manages residential, resort, commercial and industrial properties through the following business units. The business sector includes the real estate sector — the real estate business includes land planning, licensing, development and sales; the leasing sector — the leasing business includes the leasing of commercial, industrial and agricultural land and facilities, the licensing of the company's registered trademarks and trade names, and management and protection. Utilities — The Company operates two publicly regulated utilities that provide drinking and non-potable water and sewage treatment transmission services to the Kapalua Resort. In addition, the company is responsible for the management of irrigation ditches, reservoirs and wells that provide non-potable water to the inner region of West Maui. Resort Facilities Division — At Kapalua Resort, the company manages a spa, a beach club and owns a private club program. The company was re-registered as a Delaware corporation from a Hawaiian corporation.
