Li-Cycle Holdings Corp. was incorporated in Ontario on November 18, 2016. Li-Cycle's mission is to leverage its innovative Spoke & Hub Technologies to provide customer-centric end-of-life solutions for lithium-ion batteries while creating secondary supplies of key battery materials. Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries are increasingly being used to power automobiles, energy storage, consumer electronics, and other industrial and household applications.
