Levi Strauss & Co., founded in San Francisco, California in 1853, was re-incorporated in Delaware in 1970. The company is one of the world's leading branded apparel companies, operating globally through foreign subsidiaries. The company, which originated from the roots of the California Gold Rush, has grown into a globally recognized enterprise known for its responsible business practices and iconic brand. Under the Levi's, Dockers, Levi Strauss Signature, Denizen and Beyond Yoga brands, the company designs, markets and sells men's, women's and children's jeans, casual and formal pants, sportswear, tops, skirts, dresses, jackets and related accessories through global direct channels, third parties and licensees. In 2024, the company announced that it would stop using the Denizen brand, complete the popularity in early 2025, and agreed to sell its Dockers business in 2025, with the transaction expected to close in early 2026. The company operates its Levi's branded business in three major geographic regions — the Americas, Europe and Asia — and manages Beyond Yoga as a separate business to improve the transparency of performance reporting.
