Kinross Gold Corporation was originally established in May 1993 as a result of the merger of CMP Resources Ltd. The company's main business is mining and processing gold, and as a by-product in silver ore and exploration and acquisition of gold-bearing assets in the Americas, the Russian Federation, West Africa and around the world. Kinross' main products are gold and silver in the form of doré, which are shipped to refineries for final processing. Kinross' strategy is to increase shareholder value by increasing precious metal reserves, NAV, production, long-term cash flow and earnings per share. Kinross' strategy also includes optimizing the performance of existing businesses, thereby optimizing value, investing in high-quality exploration and development projects, and acquiring new potential value-added properties and projects.
