Jumia Technologies AG was incorporated on June 26, 2012 and is a limited liability company under German law. On December 17 and 18, 2018, the shareholders resolved to change its legal form to Aktiengesellschaft and change its company name to Jumia Technologies AG. The company is the leader of pan-African e-commerce platforms. The company's platform consists of Marketplace (connecting sellers and customers), logistics services (which can ship and deliver packages from sellers to customers), and payment service JumiaPay (together with its network of licensed payment service providers and partners), which facilitates transactions between participants active on the platform in specific markets.
