Invesco Mortgage Capital Inc., is a Maryland business specializing in investing, financing and managing residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities and mortgage loans. The company invests in residential mortgage-backed securities, and the principal and interest payments on the securities are guaranteed by U.S. government agencies such as the U.S. Government National Mortgage Association, the Federal National Mortgage Association and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation. The Company's agency-guaranteed residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) include mortgage transfer securities and collateralized mortgage obligations. The Company also invests in RMBS, commercial mortgage-backed securities, and residential and commercial mortgages issued or guaranteed by non-U.S. government agencies. The Company is managed by Invesco Advisors, an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of Invesco, Inc., an investment advisory firm and a global investment management company. The Company's target assets include residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), which are guaranteed by U.S. government agencies such as the U.S. Government National Mortgage Association (Geely Mae) or federally chartered companies such as the Federal National Mortgage Association (" Fannie Mae Mae ") or the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (" Freddie Mac Mae ") to pay principal and interest on the securities. These securities of the company guarantee RMBS for institutions. The Company's Institutional Guaranteed RMBS investments include mortgage transfer securities, which may include Collateralized Obligations (CMOs). The Company also invests in RMBS (non-agency-guaranteed residential mortgage-backed securities), commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and residential and commercial mortgage loans issued or guaranteed by non-U.S. government agencies.
