IDACORP, Inc., a holding company registered in 1998, was established under the laws of the State of Idaho. Its main operating subsidiary is Idaho Power. IDACORP's operating capital flow is mainly driven by Idaho Power, and the main source is the sales of electricity and transmission power. General business income and the cost of electricity supplied to general business customers, as well as the timing of the payment of income tax are the main factors that have a significant impact on the operating capital flow of Idaho Power, and are also subject to risks and uncertainties related to power generation conditions and Idaho Power's ability to obtain fee relief to cover operating costs and provide return on investment. The efficient use of cash flow from Idaho Power's utility operations includes the use of electricity purchases, fuel purchases for power generation, other expenses, taxes, interest, and any additional cash that can be used for other purposes (such as capital expenditures and dividend payments). Idaho Power is going through a heavy infrastructure investment cycle, adding capacity to its base load generation, delivery system and distribution equipment, striving to ensure adequate power supply, serve new customers, and maintain system reliability. Idaho Power's increasingly depreciated hydroelectric and thermal power generation equipment requires continuous renewal, replacement parts, and the cost of relicensing the use of hydroelectric power equipment, and the cost of complying with new licenses is enormous.
