Himalaya Shipping Ltd. was incorporated under the laws of Bermuda on March 17, 2021. The company is a newly established company with an operating Newcastlemax dry bulk carrier and has signed a contract with China New Era Shipyard to acquire 11 ships of the same type under construction, equipped with dual-fuel LNG technology, fuel-saving devices, scrubbers and ammonia preparation engines. The company has agreed to acquire 12 Newcastlemax dry bulk carriers, one of which has been delivered and put into operation, and 11 are under construction at China New Era Shipyard, with a total deadweight of 2.5 million dwt.
