Hni Corporation was incorporated in Iowa in 1944. HNI is a leading global designer and supplier of commercial furniture and a leading manufacturer and marketer of fireplace products. The company leverages a multi-faceted listing model to provide value to customers through a variety of brands and sales models. HNI focuses on growing existing businesses while seeking and developing new expansion opportunities. The company's two reportable divisions are Workplace Furniture and Residential Building Products. Workplace furniture includes furniture systems, seats, storage, tables, building products, ancillary products, hospitality products, etc. These products are primarily sold through a national system of independent distributors, office product distributors, e-commerce retailers and wholesalers, but also directly to end-user customers and federal, state and local governments. Residential building products include a full range of gas, wood, electric, pellet fuel fireplaces, inserts, stoves, finishes, outdoor fire pits and fire stops, accessories. These products are sold through a nationwide system of independent dealers and distributors, as well as company-owned installed distribution and retail outlets. In fiscal 2024, the company's net sales were $2.5 billion, of which $1.9 billion, or 75%, was attributable to the workplace furniture segment and $0.6 billion, or 25%, was attributable to the residential building products segment.
