Founded on October 14, 1891, Hecla Mining Company is an Idaho company located in Silver Valley, northern Idaho. The company believes it is the oldest and still operating precious metal mining company in the United States and is the largest silver producer in the United States. The company has offices in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Vancouver, British Columbia. The company's production line includes silver, gold, lead, and zinc contained in concentrates shipped to various smelters. The company is divided into four parts — Greens Creek, Lucky Friday, Keno Hill and Casa Berardi.
