Holly Energy Partners, L.P., a limited liability partnership incorporated in Delaware by HollyFrontier in early 2004, is principally engaged in the business of petroleum products operating systems, crude oil pipelines, storage tanks, distribution terminals and loading rack facilities in West Texas, New Mexico, Utah, Oklahoma, Wyoming, Kansas, Arizona, Idaho and Washington. The company operates in one operating division — operations of petroleum products, crude oil pipeline terminals, rental fees and loading rack facilities. The company owns and operates petroleum products, crude oil pipeline terminals, rental fees and loading rack facilities, which support the refining and marketing of HFC futures prices in the Southwest and Rocky Mountains regions of the United States. In addition, it has a 25 percent joint venture interest in the 95 mile in-state crude oil pipeline system that serves refineries in the Salt Lake City area. The company generates revenue by charging tariffs on pipelines, refined oil, crude oil storage refined oil and other hydrocarbons. The company does not require ownership of the product, so it does not directly expose changes in commodity prices.
