The Gorman-Rupp Company was founded in Ohio in 1934. The company designs, manufactures and sells pumps and pump systems worldwide, and its products are mainly used in water, wastewater, construction, drainage, industrial, petroleum, initial equipment, agriculture, fire protection, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, military and other liquid treatment applications. The company's larger pumps are mainly used in the construction, industrial, water and wastewater treatment fields; generate low civil water pressure; pump oil extraction products, including aviation fuel; fluid control of heating ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC) and various agricultural uses.
