F.N.B. Corporation was established in 1974 as a bank holding company. In 2000, the company chose to become and remain a financial holding company under the Graeme Ritchie Billy Ray Act of 1999. The company has four reporting business divisions: community banking, wealth management, insurance and consumer finance. Through its subsidiaries, the company provides a full range of financial services, mainly for consumers and small and medium-sized enterprises in the market sector. The company's business strategy is primarily focused on providing high-quality, community-based financial services tailored to the needs of each market it serves. The company aims to maintain its social positioning by providing local management with a certain degree of autonomy in decision-making so that they can respond more quickly to customer requirements and centralize transactions within their market. However, although the company tries to retain some decision-making at the local level, it has centralized legal, loan review and underwriting, accounting, investment, auditing, loan business, deposit business and data processing functions. The concentration of these processes enables the company to maintain the consistent quality of these functions and achieve certain economies of scale.
