According to Nielsen, the company is one of the largest traditional retailers in Brazil by sales in the food sector in terms of market share. The company operates a food retail business and, to a lesser extent, a non-food retail business. The company's food products include non-perishable foods, beverages, fruits, vegetables, meats, breads, cold cuts and dairy products. The company also offers non-food products such as cleaning supplies, disposables, personal care products and pet supplies.
