Village Farms International, Inc., is a marketer and distributor of premium greenhouse grown tomatoes, sweet peppers and cucumbers in North America. Through the company's majority stake in the joint venture (British Columbia's Pure Sunfarms Corp.), the company has one of the largest cannabis cultivation operations in the world. Through its subsidiary VFCE, it owns and operates a 7.0 MW power plant that generates electricity from landfill gas, generates and provides heat to one of the company's adjacent British Columbia greenhouse facilities during colder months, and sells electricity to the British Columbia Hydro and Power Authority.
