Univest Financial Corporation, a Pennsylvania corporation established in 1973, is a bank holding company established under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956. It owns all the shares of Univest Bank, Trust Co., and Univest Delaware, Inc. Its consolidated financial statements include the accounts of the company and its wholly-owned subsidiaries. The Bank is a Pennsylvania-chartered bank and trust company that, as a member of a Federal Reserve Board-chartered bank, is primarily regulated by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Department of Banking. It changed from a national bank to a Pennsylvania-chartered bank after it ceased operations on June 29, 2011. They believe that this transition to becoming a Chartered Bank will give it more flexibility to adjust its strategy so that it can also remain competitive in its chosen market as a community bank. The bank is dedicated to general commercial banking and provides a range of banking and trust services to its clients. It is the parent company of Delview, Inc., which is also the parent company of Univest Insurance, Inc, an independent insurance agent, and Univest Investments, Inc., a full-service brokerage and investment advisor. Univest Insurance has two offices in Pennsylvania and one in Maryland. Univest Investments has two offices in Pennsylvania. The bank is also the parent company of Univest Capital, Inc., an equipment financing business of Univest Capital, Inc., which is a time-controlled gain investment advisor and a registered investment advisor that provides discretionary investment advisory and management services. Through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, it provides a range of financial services to individuals, citizens and businesses across its markets.
