Unico American Corporation is an insurance holding company that underwrites property and casualty insurance through its subsidiaries; underwrites property, casualty and health insurance through its agency subsidiaries; and provides life insurance loan services and association membership services through its other subsidiaries. It was established under the laws of Nevada in 1969.
Its insurance business is carried out by Crusader. Crusader is an integrated property and casualty insurance company that began trading on January 1, 1985. Since 2004, all of Crusader's operations have been recorded in California. Commercial comprehensive insurance policies combine property and liability insurance for businesses. Commercial property insurance covers the loss of buildings, inventory and equipment due to natural disasters, including hurricanes, storms, hail, floods, explosions, severe winter weather, other financial losses such as theft, vandalism, fire, storms and bankruptcy due to property damage. But Crusader does not cover earthquake insurance. Commercial liability insurance covers accidents that occur to third parties under the premise of underwriting and within their business scope. In addition to commercial comprehensive insurance policies, Crusader also develops different policies to ensure that commercial property and commercial liability risks are on a one-line basis.
