Frontier Group Holdings, Inc., established in September 2013, is a newly formed company wholly owned by an investment fund managed by Indigo Partners LLC to facilitate the acquisition of Frontier and its holding company from Republic. The acquisition was completed on December 3, 2013. After the acquisition, Indigo reshaped its management team, including experienced veterans from the aviation industry. In partnership with Indigo, the company's management team developed and implemented their unique strategy, "Get it done at a low price. ". Frontier Airlines is an ultra-low-cost airline with a business strategy focused on "low-cost completion".
