They believe that the key to stroke prevention is minimally invasive and technologically advanced interventions to safely and effectively treat carotid artery disease, which is one of the leading causes of stroke. They pioneered a new treatment for carotid artery disease called metastatic carotid artery revascularization (TCAR), which they sought as the standard treatment.
