Simmons First National Corporation is a multi-bank financial holding company registered under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956 (as amended). The Company provides a full range of banking services to individual and corporate clients primarily through subsidiaries and branch banking offices in Arkansas, Missouri and Kansas. The company is subject to competition from other financial institutions. The company is also regulated by a number of federal and state government agencies and is regularly inspected by these regulators. The company is formed on the basis of a bank-to-bank subsidiary, and management makes decisions about how to allocate resources and evaluate performance. Each subsidiary bank offers a similar set of community banking services, including loans for products and services; time deposits, checking and savings accounts; personal and corporate trust services; credit cards; investment management; and securities and investment services. Individual banking segments have similar operating and economic characteristics and have been reported as one aggregate operating segment.
