The Necessity Retail REIT, Inc., founded on January 22, 2013, is a Maryland corporation elected and eligible to pay taxes as a U.S. real estate investment fund. The company is a retail-focused diversified Caretrust Reit. They have a diversified portfolio of commercial properties, mainly leased to investment grade and other reputable tenants, and, as a result of the merger, mainly include a portfolio of retail properties in power centers and lifestyle centers. Prior to the merger, the Company acquired a diversified portfolio of commercial properties consisting primarily of net leased to investment grade independent single-tenant properties and other reputable tenants.
