Rhinebeck Bancorp, Inc., a Maryland corporation, was founded in August 2018. On January 16, 2019, the company became the holding company of Rheinbeck Bank, when Rheinbeck Bank completed a stock offering related to the reorganization of the company and the bank into a two-tier mutual holding company form. Rhinebeck Bank is a New York-chartered stock savings bank founded in 1860. The bank provides a full range of banking and financial services to consumers and business customers through 14 branches and one representative office located in Dutchess, Ulster and Orange counties. The bank also has a representative office in Albany County to issue indirect auto and business loans. Financial services, including investment advisory and financial product sales, are provided through a division of the World Bank, which operates Rheinbeck Asset Management. The main business activity of the bank is to accept deposits from the public and use these funds, mainly for issuing indirect auto loans, commercial real estate loans, commercial loans and one- to four-family residential real estate loans, as well as purchasing investment securities.
