Penns Woods Bancorp, Inc., is a bank holding company established on January 7, 1983 in accordance with the relevant provisions of Pennsylvania law. Jersey Shore State Bank, located in Pennsylvania, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, so all outstanding common stock of the Bank is converted into common stock of the Company. The above transaction was approved by the bank's shareholders on April 11, 1983 and became effective on July 12, 1983. The company's other two wholly-owned subsidiaries are Woods Real Estate Development Company, Inc. (Woods Real Estate Development Company, Inc.) and Woods Investment Company, Inc. (Woods Investment Company, Inc.). The company's main business is to manage and supervise the bank, and its main source of income is the dividends paid by the bank and Senli Investment Co., Ltd. The company also operates from commercial and retail banking, including receiving time, deposit and current savings, commercial, general personal and mortgage loan fundraising and safe deposit services. Using a range of office networks, ATMs, Internet and telephone banking service delivery channels, banks offer their products and services primarily in the communities in which they operate.
