Performance Shipping Inc., established on January 7, 2010, complies with the laws of the Republic of the Marshall Islands. The company provides global shipping services by owning tanker ships. As of the date of this annual report, the company's fleet consists of seven Aframax tankers with a combined carrying capacity of 735,910 dwt and a weighted average age of about 12.9 years. Another one new LR2/Aframax tanker is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2025, and two new LR2 Aframax product/crude oil tankers are expected to be delivered in January and April 2026, respectively. When established in January 2010, the company's business focused on the ownership of container ships, and has since gradually transitioned to a pure tanker fleet, completing the company's exit from the container ship sector in August 2020.
