Piedmont Lithium Inc. was originally incorporated in New South Wales on September 27, 1983 as Penfold Printers Limited. The company holds a 100% interest in the project, which is located in the Carolina tin spodumene belt, along the direction of the Hallman Beam and Kings Mountain mines, and historically provided most of the lithium in the Western world from the 1950s to the 1990s. The company is currently conducting a major exploration drilling campaign, after which it will start technical studies to assess the economic potential of the project, with the aim of becoming a comprehensive lithium business company. After completing all technical studies and all necessary licensing activities, Piedmont can carry out mining and lithium processing activities to produce highly strategic domestic lithium resources in the United States to supply the growing electric vehicle and battery storage market.
