The company, originally known as Saguaro Resources Corporation, is involved in the acquisition, exploration and development of natural resources. On March 28, 2011, the company changed its name from "Cactus Resources Co., Ltd." to "InspireMD, Inc.". The Company is a medical device company focused on developing and commercializing proprietary MicroNe stent platform technology for the treatment of complex vascular and coronary artery diseases. A stent is an expandable "stent-like" device, usually made of metal material, inserted into an artery to widen internal channels and improve blood flow. MicroNet is a micron mesh sleeve that is wrapped around a stent and provides embolic protection during stent implantation.
