Northfield Bancorp, Inc., was incorporated in June 2010 in Delaware. Northfield Bancorp, Inc., became the holding company of Northfield Bank when Northfield Bancorp and MHC completed the transformation from a mutual company to a joint stock company in January 2013, and inherited the original Northfield Bancorp, Inc. (a federal corporation, "Northfield-Federal ") all businesses and operations. Northfield-Federal and Northfield Bancorp and MHC are no longer in existence. Northfield Bancorp, Inc., uses Northfield Bank's employees and offices and pays Northfield Bank a fee for doing so.
