Monroe Capital Corporation was established on February 9, 2011 under the General Corporation Law of the State of Maryland. Is an externally managed, closed, non-diversified investment company that has been selected as a business development company under the 1940 Act. In addition, for tax purposes, the company will be treated as a RIC under the coding system. The company is a professional financial company focused on providing financing solutions for low-end companies in the middle market of the United States and Canada. The Company is principally indebted for senior secured, junior secured and unitranche (which is a combination of senior and junior collateralized debt for the same equipment) and, to a lesser extent, unsecured subordinated debt and equity, including equity co-investments in preferred and common stock and warrants.
