The predecessor of Manitex International, Inc., was established in 1993. Manitex International, Inc., is a leading supplier of engineered lifting solutions. The company designs, produces and distributes a variety of products with different functions for different industries. Through its subsidiaries, it promotes truck and crane products. Manitex's truck and crane products are primarily used in industrial projects, energy development and infrastructure construction, including roads, bridges and commercial buildings. The company acquired Badger Equipment Company, a holding subsidiary on July 10, 2009. It is a manufacturer of professional off-road tire cranes and material handling products, including the newly launched 30-ton model and the first high-quality professional off-road tire crane. Badger mainly serves the needs of the construction, municipal and railway industries.
The Company's Crane and Machinery Division is a crane distributor that distributes Terex truck cranes and Manitex truck and sky cranes for rugged terrain. The business also provides spare parts repair services for domestic and international heavy construction equipment. Recently, the company has started to lease cranes and other equipment in a limited base, and is also selling some equipment. Crane products are mainly used in infrastructure construction and commercial construction; applications include road and bridge construction, general engineering contracting, construction and maintenance of roofing materials and signs.
