Interparfums, Inc., operates a perfume business that produces, sells and operates various types of perfumes and perfume related products. In May 1985, the company established under the laws of Delaware under the name Gene Philip Fragrance, and in July 1999 changed its name to International Fragrance Company. The company has also retained the brand name Gene Philip Perfume for some products that have already been introduced to the market on a large scale. The company's business is divided into two parts, European operations and US operations. Premium perfume products are produced and sold in Europe through its 73% -owned Paris subsidiary Interparfums SA. Interparfums SA is also a publicly listed company with a 27% stake in itself and is listed on the European stock exchange. Premium cosmetics and brand-name skin care products account for less than 2% of consolidated net sales.
