Ingles Markets, Incorporated was formed in 1965 under the laws of South Carolina. The company is a leading supermarket chain in the southeastern United States, operating a total of 194 supermarkets in North Carolina (72), Georgia (64), South Carolina (35), Tennessee (21), Virginia (1) and Alabama (1). The Company remodels, expands and relocates stores in these communities and builds stores in new locations to retain and expand the customer base while maintaining a high level of customer service and convenience. Ingalls provides customers with a wide range of nationally advertised food products, including groceries, meat and dairy products, agricultural products, frozen foods and other perishable items, as well as non-food products. Non-food products include fuel centers, pharmacies, health and beauty care products, and general merchandise. The company also offers premium private label merchandise and locally sourced merchandise throughout its market area.
