Since its full launch in 1977, the company has focused on developing proprietary software with automated broker-dealer functions. Interactive Brokers Group, Inc., a holding company located in Delaware, has the principal asset of approximately 11.9% of its membership interests in Interactive Brokers Group, which has the right to operate subsidiaries. Interactive Brokers Group operates two business divisions, namely electronic brokerage business and market making. The company conducts its brokerage business through an Interactive Brokers subsidiary that provides electronic execution and clearing services to clients around the world. The market-making business is mainly executed through the company's Mushan subsidiary in the world's leading exchanges and market centers. The main market-making areas include exchange-traded stocks, stock futures, and stock index options and futures.
