Heska Corporation was originally incorporated in California in 1988 and subsequently in Delaware in 1997. The company's business is comprised of two reporting divisions, Core Companion Animal Health, and other vaccines, pharmaceuticals and products. The Core Companion Animal Health Division (CCA) includes diagnostic instruments and supplies primarily for dogs and cats, as well as single-use diagnostic and other tests, vaccines and pharmaceuticals. The company's products are sold directly to veterinarians by itself and its distributors. The Other Vaccines, Medicines and Products segment (OVP) includes the production of privately labeled vaccines and pharmaceuticals primarily for livestock and other animals including small mammals and fish. All OVP division products are labeled by third parties and sold by third parties.
